Spritz is fun, complex, sparkling, and forward. The single origin from Colombia is roasted lighter to emphasize its exciting aromas of plum, nougat, and lime. 

The Spritz tickles the tongue with its lively acidity at the first sip. As an espresso, it is therefore exciting and remains present even when combined with milk.

Hernan Becerra lives with his siblings, parents, wife, and children in the Sierra Nevada region of Colombia, where he is passionate about growing coffee. Hernan and his farm, El Horizonte, are part of the Red Ecolsierra cooperative, an association of several coffee farms in the region that has set itself three main goals:

1) Regeneration of the Colombian community after the devastating civil war that raged in Colombia for decades; for these efforts, the cooperative was awarded the national “Emprender Paz” prize in 2017

2) Regenerating the biosphere of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a UNESCO-protected reserve, the highest coastal mountain in the world, and an important nature reserve

3) Innovating in the field and improving the quality of coffee cultivation by focusing on specialty coffee. This includes organic farming, a mixed ecosystem without artificial fertilizers, and harvesting by hand

Red Ecolsierra stands for “La Red de Productores Ecológicos de la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta” – the network of organic producers in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. "For us as coffee producers, it is not only important to grow coffee, but also to restore peace and give new hope to the hearts of our families, who need it so badly.

We have been sourcing the green coffee for Espresso Spritz for three years now through our partner Caventura, who imports the coffee directly from Hernan Becerra. Every year, we are thrilled by the quality of the green coffee. Through a long-term partnership, we want to support him, his family, and Red Ecolsierra.
