Producer: Smallholder Farms

This coffee comes from various small farmers in the rural area of Buesaco, a traditional coffee-growing community in Colombia.
Altitudes between 1,700 and 2,100 meters above sea level mean favorable climatic conditions for coffee cultivation. In addition, natural water sources contribute to a diverse ecosystem with rich flora and fauna.
In addition to coffee, the farms also grow crops for their own use, such as bananas, lemons, avocados, cassava, and fruits such as oranges, tangerines, and guavas.
This blend consists of harvests from various producers, including Ezequiel Gómez, John Gómez, Amelio Santacruz, and Melky Chávez.
About the producers:
Amelio Santacruz comes from the municipality of Tablón de Gómez and is the first coffee farmer in his family. After initially growing cereals and fruit, he switched to coffee in 2005 and planted traditional varieties such as Colombia and Caturra. In 2014, he began experimenting with varieties such as Castillo and Geisha. His farm, El Guayabo, is located in Buesaco at an altitude of 1,900 meters.
Melky Chávez is a third-generation coffee producer and began processing coffee in 2016 to improve quality. His farm, El Muro, is located at an altitude of 1,900 meters in Buesaco and cultivates the Castillo and Caturra varieties. The farm's experience in cultivation and processing has been recognized with several national awards for the production of differentiated coffees.
